having people in lockdown has been nice in one small way: i’m resting more

i’ve been housebound since 2016 but subconsciously (i guess?) trying to compete with the achievements of nonhousebound people

now you’re all here? turns out all you want to do is bake & read & sleep too!
i feel less guilty that i don’t have the energy for anything before 12pm. i’m ok spending the morning pottering about & waking up. i’m not killing myself trying to write thousands of words when my body is screaming.

because guess what? it turns out, being housebound is hard!
even for healthy people! it’s hard! and difficult to work! and achieve! and feel productive!

hoping i remember that when you all go back to achieving lots of little things in the world every day that i’m not able to.
