Itaewon class was not it. From all that hype, I excepted some good content. Disafuckingpointed. Rant thread ahead
Kdrama stans come and fight me
let's start with how the drama was introduced. So before everything people started to hype this drama because it's different and new. You know the whole black character and the transgender character and Off course the beautiful park seo joon. In short you'd expect-
a deep yet thrilling creative out of the box storyline that would involve all characters and their backgrounds and would ultimately revolve around a meaningful theme ( you know that kdrama theme vibe that has an after effect and leaves you inspired and you suddenly wanna achieve
all your goals the same day you finished the drama) or atleast that's what I thought. Anyway
  Episode one :-
Well for me personally.. This is absolutely not how you start a show. It went from 0 to 100. That whole episode made a 180. Ma'am/sir that was very-
dramatic and unnecessary for a first episode. Look as an idea it might have worked but  execution it felt oddly off. I proceeded with the drama because that was just the first episode and I can't judge a drama by its first episode. In the midst of the drama
I realize there's sth wrong with the storyline. It's (idk how to explain this) draggy? The plot was deteriorateing. The whole good VS evil (revenge) theme was just bad. Also, I hate that they did the food business like that. Like I needed more screen time for the food business.
I'm sorry. They were so focused on revenge and morals they never gave the food it's rights. Some scenes were just so boring it hurt to watch them. It felt like the writer wanted to fill up in-between spaces and he put those scenes and by some scenes I mean most of chairman Jang
Scenes. All in all the storyline doesn't stand out. It's not creative nor special. Compared to other dramas, this drama could never. I had to say it. I expected something better than this . Also why the fuck did Toni not get enough screen time? But also whoever chose his outfits
I love you, wholeheartedly. I, also, did not like his character story that much. I wanted something deep-rooted, heartfelt, thorough, and sincere. Something that maybe related to the black Korean community. Something a little bit real.
Okay I'll end this thread by saying it was not a bad drama but it could have been way better. I'm giving it a 4.5/10
