I found the firing platform. Lines up perfectly with Mt Kellett, and the building in the centre is still there (albeit surrounded by new developments).
There are several extended flat areas that could be related to the shooting platform. There are some letters carved into this stone (RBL? RBC?) that might mark a boundary.
Concrete steps lead down to what might have been a shooting platform, but the masonry has collapsed.
At the Harlech Road junction, took a little path that may have led to the platforms. Any idea what the rusted poles are? Streetlights?
Found some random metal pieces. The one in the middle might be a clip that cartridges would have been attached to, but I& #39;m not sure.
That goes in deep. Itching for an expedition, assuming nobody notices me ripping apart a wall constructed by the Hong Kong Government after the war to keep nosy explorers out.
The wall is where the targets for the firing range were placed. The building is where the targets were stored.
Went digging around in front of the target area and found a bullet! It& #39;s deformed (on impact? so made of lead?) but I wonder what make it is.
Going down to Pokfulam, found the exit of the tunnel system. Seems completely blocked up, but I suppose a few hours of work with a pickaxe ...
On the side of the mountain in the middle of the damn forest, found these iron pipes. Way too high to be connected with the waterworks. Japanese? And if so, what for?
I don& #39;t know what this plant is, but it is huge and spiky and I hate it
As soon as I& #39;m back on the "normal" trail I swear 20 day hikers walked by as soon as I stopped recording
