My mum has just phoned to say she was out walking on a pavement & a Lycra clad cyclist shouted at her “get out of the fucking way bitch”! She’s 81 for Christ sakes! He wasn’t a kid but a 30+ man who should have known better. With no cars on the road why was he on the pavement?

She was upset and was asking what she’d done wrong. I had to explain she hadn’t but she thinks she has. I told her to take her walking stick next time to jam in the spokes! She won’t of course.
