(An important thread pertaining to Qadr (Destiny))

Can Du'a change the Qadr (Destiny) of Allah?

Yes, and no.

It depends on what you mean by Qadr. Qadr in reality is of two types.
1) The real destiny: This is the knowledge of Allah about the future. It is absolute and exact. Allah knows everything that will happen in the future without mistakes nor limitations.

This cant be changed by Du'a. However, his knowledge has already taken your du'a into count ;)
This type of destiny is from the 'Mutashabihat'. I'll make a thread on this iA, but it means, like other qualities of Allah, we can't fully comprehend this. Many have gone astray by trying to understand it.

There are some details on this in this thread: https://twitter.com/aamullanee/status/1246890256865144833
2) The Written Destiny: This is what has been written by The Pen in Lawh al-Mahfuz (The Protected Tablet) before we were even born!

The pen had written down everything that was to happen from that time.
Scholars believe that this can be changed by Du'a. Other scholars believe this is like a flow chart.

If He makes Dua This happens; if not then this happens.
Regardless, we should have hopes in Du'a. Allah knows you will make du'a, and your destiny will have the outcomes accordingly.

No one knows their destiny. Our job is to keep working hard, and being careful not to become too proud or careless.

May Allah guide us all!
P.S. Yes, I know fancy words like Taqdir al-Mubram and Taqdir al-Mu'allaq. Just trying to keep it simple for the folks!
