Q: What's the most horribly unlistenable album you love? The one on the cusp between torture & genius, that causes relatives/housemates to enter the room & exclaim "Holy f___ what IS this crap?"

Mine: Civil War by Matmos. A sample & electronics concept album about the US Civil War, electronic noise fizzed in a blender with hurdy-gurdies & military marching bands & all kinds of shit. It drags your brain out one ear, mashes it & shoves it back in the other.

Incidentally I fully intend to listen to as many of these as my fractured consciousness and/or family allow, and will report back.
