Some FAQs about the #LabourLeaks report:

Q1: This proves anti-Semitism was all just a smear, right?
A: No, the report specifically says that anti-Semitism wasn't just a smear, and that the party did in fact have an anti-Semitism problem. Nice try though.
Q2: Isn't it a good thing that this leaked because transparency is always good?
A: There was no need to disclose private individuals' sensitive personal data. The 'revelations' of this report could have been disclosed without including personal data.
Q3: Doesn't this prove that Corbyn was desperately trying to sort out anti-Semitism but was frustrated by Blairites?
A: No, at best it proves that Corbyn vaguely wanted to sort out anti-Semitism but shrugged his shoulders and gave up when he met an alleged obstacle.
Q4: Why are you more worried about a tiny amount of anti-Semitism than about all these people scheming against Corbyn?
A: Because people are allowed to oppose Corbyn in a democracy, and they're not allowed to be anti-Semitic.
Q5: Don't you see that Labour deserved to win the 2017 election but was blocked by traitors?
A: If Corbyn could be so easily outwitted, and couldn't manage his own staff, he probably wouldn't have made a good Prime Minister.
Q6: Why aren't you talking about all the Islamophobia and sexism in this report?
A: It's a report about anti-Semitism, titled 'Anti-Semitism'. The other forms of hatred it contains are appalling and to be condemned but don't pretend that this isn't about anti-Semitism pls kthx
Q7: Why aren't you condemning the plots to murder Corbynites?
A: There were no plots to murder Corbynites. Violent language ('should be taken out and shot') isn't mature political discourse but we all know perfectly well it's figurative. Don't play dumb.
Q8: Aren't you angry with the Gnasher-type people who were made unhelpful spurious complaints of anti-Semitism and were rude to Labour staff?
A: Yes. But that's not the main point here, and if you're going to turn this report into an attack on Jewish people, that is a Bad Take.
Q9: Don't you see that this is all about people who don't want a leader who supports Palestine?
A: Aaaand blocked.

Hope these help.
