[ MORTAL KOMBAT LEGENDS - SCORPION'S REVENGE REVIEW/THREAD ]

Just my own review on things I liked and hated about the movie, complete with ratings on some of the aspects.

So, we finally got our first animated movie made by the same guys who created Assault On Arkham.

I never expected NRS to approve a project of this kind, especially since a lot of people asked for an animated series or movie that is not Defenders Of The Realms for-

- Quite some time.

Was it worth the wait? Did it live up to my expectations? Let's find out!

First of all, I gotta say the animations are pretty good, characters are done well too. Sure, there were a lot of CGI effects of which I am no big fan of, but we are in 2020-

-so I should have expected them. They did not bother me that much after all.

The voice acting is great! Sure, I expected to see Liu Kang voiced by the same VA from MKX or the MK9 one, same for Johnny, Sonya and Raiden who is voiced by Geras xD

But at least we have Goro from-

-the original MK Movie (even if he doesn't talk much) and the return of Patrick Seitz as Hanzo along with Steve Blum who voices Sub-Zero.

Also, unlike the two MK Movies, MKL actually has gore. And I mean A LOT of gore, like MK should be! So, if you wanna show this to your kid-

-expecting Liu Kang killing someone with a bucket of water, you should go back to the 90's movie.

Let's analyze another aspect: the costumes.

For some reason, some of the characters got brand new costumes (like Cage, Sonya) and others have the same ones from MKX with some-

-modifications like Raiden being more armored, Liu Kang having black hair instead of looking old, and Jax with Kano having the same costumes from MKX, but colored differently (Kano looks younger too)

All the others like Quan Chi, Baraka and Reptile have are identical to MKX and-

-Shang Tsung is the only character who gets his costume from MK9. I believe that this movie could have been in production since MKXL came out since there is 1 reference to MK11. But we'll get to that later.

Also, the many demons who appear-

-in this movie, including a "demon torturer" who looks suspiciously like Moloch are wonderful, and I personally adored the look of the Black Dragon mercenaries.

Can't say much about the music because honestly, I didn't pay enough attention.

Maybe there are some other-

-characteristics about this movie which I forgot. If so, please remind me and I'll tell you my opinion about it!

Now we get to the most important thing. The story.
