Trying to apply for unemployment payments for self-employment in TX is a bunch of paper work, proving one has been in biz for several years, sending in business license, tax forms, proof that a musician had jobs lined up and were cancelled.. this will be my -1

weekend as I try to help my musician son get help and assistance.. Gov Abbott is changing applications back to Preznt decree that we are a disaster area.. I’m tired of reading all the rules..I will file my son’s lost income next week so I only have to report 2019 income. -2

M son grossed over $50k last year and paid quarterly fed taxes in 2019 and 2018.. self-employed have more info to submit.. it takes days to get all info. After 30 minutes, you are shut off and have to start all over again. -3

If we are going to get Fed help, we need to pay 2019 taxes with a direct deposit info or wait several months for relief.. Americans are strained, tired and now this nonsense.. son has paid $4k+ in quarterly taxes and owes over $809.. and he gets back $1,200 -4

I’ve already submitted my hubby’s unemployment, first time in his 70.5 years of working and paying taxes.. the self-employment will be more difficult. Going thru files, past taxes paid. is it any wonder why most people, deeply in need of help won’t jump through these hoops? -5

And I truly wonder, will help come to those earning less, self-employed, while we are in total shut down. America is rudderless.. I am heartbroken for the world, front line workers and those that valiantly started their own businesses

I also know in my heart that many will fall into depression. SCOTUS will decide on ACA.. if they remove it, we are all in trouble.. I lost my funny bone .. ok, I’m off my soap box.. sending strength to our front line and people trying to survive
