You are faced with an imminent #CivilUnrest while under a lockdown and in your usual knee jerk reaction all you could do is threaten people trying to let you know hunger & insecurity are yet other viruses to consider? Where is your conscience o ye irresponsible souls?

My joy however remains the fact that I personally warned you all about this day. Now that winter is here, nobody is flying anywhere. Keep threatening the people you made monsters of with the weaponization of poverty. The revolution began years back. It’s time to feel the impact.

The constitution of a Presidential Task Force itself need have people who are not party members or sentimentally attaches to the Presidency but people of integrity that understand the pulse on the street & genuinely represents their interest. This way Govt can win trust.

People are scared. They’re experiencing a deeper level of uncertainty beyond the build up since 2015. They’re not only insecure as threatened by breakdown of law & order but by hunger & the pandemic. The language of engagement must change. Govt MUST demonstrate Responsibility.

My point beyond the headline is that Govt must realize they can’t do this alone. It is not the time for Political rhetorics but a time every stakeholder must be galvanized towards a common enemy that is COVID-19. The pandemic respects no political agenda or class. Act now.
