Last week I followed Jamal Trulove (Last Black Man of San Francisco) in collaboration w/ the Science Policy Group at UCSF documenting their goal of producing thousands of bottles of hands sanitizer for inmates and vulnerable SF communities in response to covid-19.
In less than a week, over 4,600 bottles of hand sanitizer were packaged and boxed - ready to be given to folks in need.
Volunteers worked tirelessly to make sure bottles were labeled with pamphlets including covid-19 symptoms and health facts.

On Friday, we dropped of a box to inmates in San Francisco County jail and was received by Nick Gregoratos (prisoner legal services) who said they’d be distributed by Monday.
Per Gregoratos, there’s about 750 people currently in SF county jail (down from ~1,200 in January).

Science Policy Group has started a gofundme for this mutual aid project. If you are able to donate, please do and if not please share in solidarity.
Every $10 donated provides 20 people with sanitizer. https://www.gofundme.com/f/gqgve-hand-sanitizer-for-vulnerable-groups-amid-covid19">https://www.gofundme.com/f/gqgve-h...
