There’s lots of talk about emulating South Korea’s response time Coronavirus, so I thought it worth pulling a few details from my interview with their ambassador Enna Park on Sunday. Lots of v interesting thoughts....
Firstly, their contact tracing is immense - but there could be privacy concerns with the use of credit card transactions, CCTV and mobile phone GPS data. Park argues people are willing to compromise on privacy for the “greater good”
Secondly, it’s pretty clear that although Park doesn’t want to criticise another government’s response, she thinks face masks are a useful tool in the fight against Coronavirus
Thirdly, 91 people in South Korea have apparently tested positive AGAIN for Coronavirus after appearing to have cleared the virus. Why? Well, Park doesn’t believe it’s because of inaccurate tests
