If the Democrats want to beat Trump, they need to engage the people who are disengaged, which means coming to terms with their role in pushing those people into hopelessness and also realizing that, by definition, those people are not on here listening to lesser evil pitches.

They seem to have convinced themselves that the problem to be addressed is former Bernie supporters on Twitter and not, you know, the millions and millions of eligible voters who think every politician is a shithead liar and will not listen to your pitch about being less shitty.

People aren& #39;t going to go stand on line shoulder to shoulder for hours on end to support the "lesser evil" or do "harm reduction" in the best of times, and definitely not this year with a fucking pandemic happening.

You know what would convince people to take that risk? Universal healthcare! Freedom from the chains of debt wrapped around their throats! An end to war!
