Most people talking about the dalit problem have purely online sensibilities about it. They reduce both the scope and logic of the problem.

At what level do you think the Bhimer complex operate among Dalits? https://twitter.com/blackcat_1iii/status/1249950527166660608
I've been trying to study Bhimer methods for a while now. It's pretty obvious that they are a front for the missionaries.
Now what the Bhim front does is, it creates a psychological and emotional distance in dalits from Hinduism. They employ propaganda for this purpose. Text and multimedia both.
Their main mediums are whatsapp, and social media sites like facebook and twitter.

The stream of propaganda is continuous bombardment. They keep making new messages, even new films. Obviously lots of money being pumped.
Most people talking of them on trad twitter have zero understanding of dalit society, zero interaction with them, zero idea about the importance of retaining them.

Most of the talk is pure flex, zero nuance, very ugly and ignorant reductionism.
No, we can't 'let them go', that's a thing you can say only online. If you ever get down to ground, that idea does not even cross your mind, you don't even consider it.
RSS as an organisation is ill-equipped to deal with the problem but they recognise it for what it is and try to deal with it. https://twitter.com/Shatruntapa/status/1247476156841873408?s=20
The problem with people going "we shouldn't be blackmailed" is their not understanding at what level the forces operate. This is exactly what handing someone a victory of platter means. It's like blackpillers desperately trying to prove themselves right.
As I said above, it's not always an economic problem, it's in many ways an emotional problem. And needs that kind of solution.

Not new. It's an ancient job of Hindu core (dvijas) to create meaning for Hindu periphery (dalits etc.). This is how they were brought into the frame.
So now anyone going "no blackmail" is himself perverting the vision of Hindu society by visualizing castes as different islands which can go to hell as they please. This is nihilistic and antithetical to tradition.
RSS works on this and ironically enough, they get the religious logic of it better than most people here. So I've seen Dalit bastis with murtis of Buddha, Shivji and Ravidas, after years of RSS effort.
The tweet that is quoted in the thread I quoted also has similar meaning.

With lockdown, bhimer complex is at its weakest. Ramayan is on TV. Modi is in good books. It's the best time for shakha minded to start emotional outreach to Dalits.
Too defeatist, making sense of defeat before even losing.

The old logic might not operate, does not mean the old role is dead. You have to create new logic to do the same thing. At this, RSS is not spectacular success but not absolute failure either. https://twitter.com/blackcat_1iii/status/1249961212952981504?s=20
This is one area where RSS' nationalism before religion helps them. They use Ambedkar's nationalism here to make space for themselves before Dalits, and then push religion from backside using cultural logic.
This is also the reason why they can never give up Ambedkar.

Yes, much as it may surprise many people here, almost every single thing is more complex irl than online. Dimensions of difference.
