That target of testing 16,000 persons daily by May 1st is called pillar one.

Most importantly, government are including planned antibody testing in their 100,000 target

• Indications are that government would adopt a randomised antibody rest in the community to detect if people had the virus. This would not be to treat people but plan emergence from lockdown

To sum up, there is no plan to test 100,000 people a day to see if they have Coronavirus.

Government conjured this trick by talking blandly about ‘tests’ without stating ‘persons tested’, or what they’re testing for

To measure just how bad this is:
• England aim to test about 20,000 persons daily for CV19 by 1st May
• Ireland, ten times smaller already does 8,000 daily
• Italy, Germany & others already achieve double UK figure
• There is no real plan to meaningfully scale up UK testing
