the boyz being woke & educated (lgbtq+, feminism, diversity, & many more); a necessary thread

1.) when kevin & jacob were speaking about movies, kevin brought up black panther & spoke about how important poc (people of color) is

2.) when eric was talking about his love for taemin’s ‘move’ kevin said he really liked how it challenged gender roles

3.) younghoon & sangyeon were making flowers for a girl & younghoon was quick to end the stereotype that ‘all girls like pink’

4.) eric also ended the stereotype about pink being a color for girls when he chose pink as his color on weekly idol & said it made a man more manly

5.) eric said that in the past he used to dress up as a princess for halloween, ending gender roles once again

6.) the boyz have respectfully covered girl groups many times. they gave the choreo the same amount of energy & respect they give boy group choreos & they always look like they enjoy it so much without having to overexagerrate anything.

7.) sunwoo said that skin color isn’t a problem to him

8.) sunwoo tends to wear paper clip earring & when he was asked if he knows the meaning behind it, he said yes.

9.) sunwoo recommended a song about 2 men wanting to become dads & wanting to get married with each other. it also brings up marriage equality

10.) juyeon openly supports an lgbt photographer & has said that his work is inspiring

11.) juyeon also said that ‘love is love’ when a fan asked him if he can love him

12.) many view ‘boy’ music video as having a gay storyline where the members play each others’ love interest.

13.) sunwoo respectfully used the correct pronouns for a nonbinary fan at a fansign

14.) when talking about the movie ‘mulan’ kevin pointed out feminism

15.) sunwoo owns a phonecase from a brand that helps women during war or women that were sex slaves

16.) when kevin & jacob were talking about riding elephants in thailand, kevin warned to be careful because some places abuse the animals

17.) the boyz took part of a program that helps abandoned dogs find a home. they encourage other people to adopt these dogs rather than buying one. they even adopted 2 dogs of their own & looked after them for a couple of months until they were able to find a safe home

overall, i thank the boyz for having such an amazing & open mindset. they literally are angels & we don’t deserve them. stan the boyz!
