• at least one against midorima

1. practice match va kaijo
— this was their first encounter with a member of the miracles. thinking they could’ve won that without knowing the extent of kise’s strength is funny

2. against one match against midorima

— i don’t really care if its in an official match/practice match but aside from having midorima the “number 1 shooter of the miracles” who is said to have “never missed an untouched shot”, shutoku also had takao and he was the first one +

was able to stop tetsu with his ability. Takao’s hawk eye was said to be superior to izuki’s eagle eye so not only does takao overpower kuroko, but izuki as well

3. Seirin vs Touou pt 2

— as a daiki stan this is tricky to say since yall are gonna say im biased + this match played a key role in daiki’s character development (more like he went back to his real self) but this was seirin’s first encounter with the zone (and with a player who

can enter and leave the zone at will?????) they literally had no idea that daiki could go in the zone until that exact moment and they were pretty much overwhelmed then suddenly kagami has it and has such great mastery over it likeeee sksjshemwhwkdsjkwfjkrek!!!!!!

4. Rakuzan
— this is pretty much self explanatory but aside from akashi being made out to be this overwhelming antagonist who had a team of himself, the captain of the miracles, and 4 uncrowned kings, he was also shown to be able to make these 4 kings go in the zone with him like

I would say Murasakibara as well but they already had plenty of experience & knowledge with the others prior to him so i guess its kinda valid also murasakibara was just freakishly tall and thats it he never rlly took basketball seriously he just played bc it suit him

Im not saying it was impossible for them to win these matches but i think they shouldve shown seirin’s growth more like more practice matches with teams and all that idk im no manga artist but knb always made the first half of the game SO FUCKING SLOW in a way that

was so obvious they would be losing then all of a sudden in the last minutes of the 3rd quarter (wtf sometimes even in the 4th) seirin is suddenly invincible like hhhskwbswkrbkdfnkttk

they talked pretty big about the gom in a way that they were regarded as the “best players of their generation” & a team everyone was scared of or smth then a team like seirin with only first years and second years appears and slaughters them one by one NOOOOOOO
