people forget that minors are still developing and are bound to fuck up and make mistakes. it’s apart of having experiences and growing. thats why things like making a callout post on a 14 year old isnt okay because theyre still learning. adults arent perfect but neither are kids
though adults arent perfect, they are expected to be the bigger person in the situation. it’s different when an adult fucks up because they are grown up. if i meet a transphobic 15 year old im gonna hate them, but im gonna hate the transphobic adult even more.
how some teenagers act now isnt going to be the same when they age a bit. im still developing as a person and im still gonna fuck up.

when it comes to an adult and a minor committing a crime, the adult is considered a “criminal”, but the minor isnt. instead, theyre labelled as-
a delinquent. minors arent going to be punished as severely as adults will. theyre not going to go to jail and serve 20 years like an adult would. juvenile is an option, but that’s not a prison.

when a kid gets in trouble in school, they are (hopefully) disciplined-
professionally by people who have the authority to do so. if a kid curses at a teacher, the teacher isnt allowed to do it back. not only would it be wrong, but it’s because the teacher knows better than to resort to acting the same way the minor is acting. instead, the minora
*minor

is sent to the office and punished properly.
kids are not free from fucking up or making mistakes and yeah neither are adults, but one is still experiencing hormones and growth and is still physically and emotionally developing, while the other is much further ahead and should be more knowledgeable and experienced.
of course im not saying minors dont have experiences n shit. if anything minors are maturing nowdays much faster than they should due to abuse and trauma. but keep in mind we’re still kids. adults should also be reliable on. we’re young, our minds cant really handle so much shit.
