Please be mindful before you run to a doctor or request a COVID test. A coworker of mine is pregnant and near term. She asked her OB for a test just to be sure before the baby comes. Doctor ordered it and sent her to Quest Diagnostics.

Quest canceled her testing appt with them and told her that she is being marked as presumed positive. She said she was only having symptoms of seasonal allergies and only wanted the test to make sure she wasn't a carrier before she gives birth.

They still declared her positive, turned her info in to CDC and put her on 2 week quarantine (canceling her other prenatal testing).

Imagine being on forced quarantine under penalty of fines if you are caught defying it when you have no symptoms and were never tested.

Luckily she is already teleworking and her husband can handle the errands, but that could put a person in a major bind--getting them wrapped up with the legal system.
