i would also add that once one takes on any leadership position, they almost always have to move into the “lawful” position, no matter how chaotic they might be. (hello it me)

because it’s easy to be chaotic good as an individual. you can do big fuck it table flip moments and the only person you’re putting at risk is yourself, usually. but in a leadership position, every decision you make impacts many people.

as an IC? flipping the table is a calculated risk you can take for yourself. you can prepare for the impact. as a leader? flip the table & you might cause a bunch of unsuspecting people to lose their lifelines (be they monetary, emotional, or other). the calculus is different.
