There’s a great TED talk (I forget the speaker) about how people talk all the great equity talk but then you’re about to take off on a plane and you realize the pilots are women and it’s like -

Who are people instinctively turning to during this crisis? Who are the voices on TV? Who got thrown on COVID planning teams? Who got thrust into leadership roles at this time because people naturally look to them and trust them in a crisis when lives are on the line?

Who will emerge from this crisis and be launched into the next leadership role and the next? Who wasn’t even considered? Why is this so hard?
