AC Doyle wanted to move beyond Sherlock Holmes by killing him off in "The Final Problem", & #Disney apparently wants to move beyond the #Skywalker family in general and #BenSolo in particular after TROS. 1/

Alas, the public's reaction to Doyle's decision, much like reviews for TROS, was rather severe, esp. for The Strand magazine that published Doyle's stories. "People were so upset that more than twenty thousand of them canceled their subscription to The Strand magazine." 2/

When Doyle (kind of) relented & brought Holmes back for a pre Final Problem story in The Strand (The Hound of the Baskervilles), "The public’s response was phenomenal ... Disney sees the continuing popularity of #BenSolo/ #KyloRen. There's money to be made in continuing his story. I can only hope DLF follows the money and sees #BenSoloLives as a win-win solution for both fans and their bottom line. 5/end
