how to make trading (slightly) less painful: a thread
my first tip is to have a detailed bio about what you're trading, what you're looking for, what's nft, and what you don't want. this helps streamline the process a lot (as long as people.. yknow.. read it). it helps to put "read bio before trading" in your name
to filter out people that ignore your name and don't read your bio, add a code word at the very bottom of your bio. ask for it at the very beginning of a trade and if they don't have it, just immediately cancel, don't even bother
another tip: turn off incoming trade requests! if you turn them off people have to actually EXPLAIN why they want to trade with you, and if you want to make a deal with them you can still send them a request
personally this really helps me get the trades i want quicker
tip #3 (i think): this is going to sound mean but if someone looks like they cant afford what ur trying to trade away.. just.. do not bother. they will most likely lowball you and try to make you feel bad if you dont like what they're offering
tip #4: please for the love of god check item prices in the shop/on the wiki before trading them. sometimes i think i know how much something costs only to find out that im WAY off
it's not worth the risk of accidentally overpaying for something
tip #5: read other people's bios/names to see what they have and what they're looking for. i've gotten lots of good trades from checking ppls wishlists, and its also a better way to find out if something is nft than asking someone directly (which is annoying)
i hope u guys can get good use out of this cause i know this info has helped me out a lot
might add more stuff later if i think of anything else
