How dare the Premier casually claim that he, other Alberta government officials and possibly private firms are prepared to criminally import drugs and devices that have not been approved by Health Canada?

How dare the Premier dismiss the work of professionals, including medical experts, who are undoubtably expediting all promising reviews relating to #COVID19, as “bureaucracy.”

The same Health Canada officials, BTW, who quickly approved a test that is reliable and can work in more remote settings. Looks like these “bureaucrats” focused on what could work instead of a test that the US had to seize for being unreliable.

It’s almost as if these “bureaucrats,” unlike @jkenney, understand conditional probability and other Bayesian probability analysis, which is why antibody tests should be treated with scepticism until there has been more time to enhance the reliability.

The last thing we need right now is a politician disingenuously undermining the very professionals whose heroic efforts are what is keeping many of us alive. We especially don’t need that as part of a pitch by that politician to peddle snake-oil.
