1/ Because I get asked a lot about this, here are my 2 cents on this year’s election: I have many issues with the process. I hate the 2-party system. I think the electoral college is undemocratic. But more importantly...
2/ I think our rights to racial and gender equality, along with our ability to investigate crimes against the disenfranchised will be forever compromised if we allow this moron in the White House to continue his reign of terror.
3/ Here’s what I think about our 2 options this year: I believe all allegations of sexual assault should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. I also think that trump needs to be removed from office to save our country from disaster. Both can and should happen.
4/ While Biden is old and makes occasional gaffes, trump is also old and can hardly make coherent sentences or thoughts, and when he does speak clearly, it’s usually a lie, ignorant, bigoted, sexist, racist, etc. In terms of the policy differences, there’s no competition.
5/ While I don’t agree with all of Biden’s choices, trumps are 100000x worse, mostly because his main goal is to cut everything to make he and his pals rich, corrupt every department to protect and feed his ego, and decimate any integrity this country has left.
6/ But here’s my main thing: This election is not about the candidates. It’s about you. It’s about how we can save our country from this unhinged maniac. This is about voting for the country, not for the candidate.
7/ Because this is an imperfect system doesn’t mean we do nothing. NOT VOTING is not the answer. NOT VOTING is a vote for trump. That is what he is counting on. That’s what trump is praying for. His entire strategy is based on destroying our morale.
8/ The more people vote, the more his chances of winning drop. That’s why he doesn’t want mail-in votes (even tho he did it himself). He is hoping that you feel so defeated that you do nothing. Because you doing nothing equals his victory. Don’t let him win. VOTE HIM OUT.
