The Muwattah of Imam Maalik is one of the earliest Hadeeth books compiled by Imam Maalik himself more than 1000 years ago.
It's a hadeeth book which is accepted by all and has extensive commentaries written on it.

What i found amazing about this book (All Islamic books are great) is a story i read in Tadreeb ur Raawi by Imam Suyuti regarding The Muwattah.
Imam Suyuti mentions in his Tadreeb:
When Imam Maalik was compiling The Muwattah, it was said to him: What's the benefit in authoring this? (because many during his time were writing there own 'Muwattah') He replied,
ما كان لله، بقي
'whichever is for Allah, it will remain'

Meaning, whoever compiles there Muwattah for the sake of Allah, there book will remain.
From his time, his Muwattah has remained and is the most famous. The second most famous Muwattah, which still exists is The Muwattah of Imam Muhammad. But its not as famous.

Ibn Abdil Barr has mentioned in his Tamheed that the first Muwattah was Abdul Aziz bin Al Majishun's Muwattah
Imam Thahabi records knowledge of a Muwattah of Ibn Wahb, Ibn Abi Thi'b.
Both of which have never been seen.

Obviously, no one is denying the sincerity of all the other scholars during that era. But it shows the level of sincerity of Imam Maalik.
some Scholars have said regarding The Muwattah if Imam Maalik:

. Imam Shafi'ee said: i have not seen any book in Islam more beneficial than the Muwattah, after The Quran.

May Allah grant us this also

The moral of this thread is:
Where a person is truly sincere. Allah will elevate him in this world and the hereafter & take work from them for his Deen
Shaitaan specifically said to Allah, he will lead all astray except for the sincere servants of Allah (Quran 38:83)
