Jesus was a grief-bearer.  He leads the way in the path of sorrow.  On that path, you will encounter suffering and loss that will stagger the mind and break the heart. 

The path of sorrow, our own or another’s, will lead us to the Man of Sorrows who has promised one day that:

“He will wipe away every tear from our eyes and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning or crying or pain…and He who sits on the throne will make all things new.”  Revelation 21:4
