Its fair to say that the working class that reside within the empire are not the same as the ruling class or the state. They working class is made up of a wide variety of groups with different intersections. With this come different material realities.

As such some worker have a material interest in benefiting the system. Even if that benefit isn't only partial. So why does this matter when it comes to "pride in ones country"

That's because that pride of ones country isn't in a vacuum it isn't horizontal and it hell of sure ain't spontaneous or organic

Why do you think the Military is so high on the list, it's for. A reason having pride in "your country" only helps further the empire.

You can't turn it around to make it seem like you can have prise in anything else, because the question become what is the pride in. Rights of the marginize isn't the answer, so you want to know why
