my job was held up at gun point. A THREAD:
so a few years ago i was working for AT&T as a tech. at this point in time my grandmother had also fallen into a coma due to some health issues & it wasn’t looking good. so i informed my manager of what was going on.

i told him i wanted to give a heads up because if she didn’t get better soon, they would take her off life support & i would have to fly to ATL to settle her affairs with my family. He gave me his premature condolences & said okay. seems simple enough right? NO.

about a week later they took my grandmother off life support & within a few hours she passed, god rest her soul. i told my manager that i booked a flight to ATL and i needed to leave in 2 days..

He said NO because it was during a blackout month ( a month where nobody can request time off because a bunch of new releases are happening or black friday)... i was like “no??” .. bitch this is a HEADS UP. not a request , i will not be here. periodt.

he told me i would get written up or possibly fired if i didn’t show up for my assigned shift. boy fuck you & this job idc. go to hell.

so the day before my flight to ATL me & my manager are closing up the store. just to give y’all some extra information. phone stores get ROBBED ALL THE TIME. but it’s mostly just people snatching the display phones & running out the store. this particular night was different

i was in the back counting inventory & my manager was on the floor closing registers etc. all of a sudden i hear a bunch of yelling through the door. i look at the security cameras & i see two men with guns demanding he escorts them to the back where our inventory is

i immediately know this is a set up. someone who used to work here is involved or something cause they knew WAY too much about our store protocols. so, y’all wanna know what i did????

..... i grabbed my shit & left through the backdoor.

i got in my car, called 911 and drove the fuck home.. the next day i get a call from our district manager questioning me about the whole situation and asking where i went during the robbery.

bitch where the fuck to you think i went? HOME. tf?

y’all denied me GRIEVANCE time off for my dead grandmother but expected me to stick around for an ARMED ROBBERY?! it is crack? is that what you smoke? you smoke crack?

anyways, i told my district manager he could suck my dick through a straw & hung up on him. & that’s how i quit AT&T. THE END.
