To all the bakers posting on social: I salute your efforts. I salute your photos. But for the love of Pete, please stop putting chocolate in your banana bread. Your bread doesn’t want it. I don’t want it. Nobody wants it. Your bread is sweet enough as is. Trust your bread.

To those disagreeing: Would you put chocolate in zucchini bread? In carrot cake? Of course you wouldn’t. Why won’t you give your banana bread the same respect?
