/6 #COVID19 key concerns in 🇨🇦: many deaths are linked to outbreaks in long term care facilities in several provinces. Though new data continue to come in, as of now, at least 285 (40%) of 717 reported deaths are linked to these outbreaks. #ProtecttheVulnerable
/6 Sadly, because #COVID19 can have a prolonged clinical course, we expect deaths will continue to increase even as the epidemic growth rate slows down. #StayHomeSaveLives #ProtectTheVulnerable
/6 To save lives, families, communities & businesses across Canada have shifted their behaviours to #SlowtheSpread and help break the chains of transmission of #COVID19. #PlanktheCurve
/6 #COVID19 is nowhere near over. We must not relax our efforts, not even once we’ve past the peak & are on the way to very low level transmission. How soon we get there & what our new normal will look like, depends on our actions NOW.
/6 We know that #PhysicalDistancing works to reduce the number of people who get infected, and once low enough, the epidemic will run out of fuel. One thing is certain - if we want a best-case scenario, we need to give it our best effort. #COVID19
/6 We cannot prevent every #COVID19 death but we MUST prevent every death we can. We need to protect our #Olderadults. So #StayHomeSaveLives and let’s give our best effort to #PlanktheCurve, then crush it! #CrushtheCurve
