#wearethepigs is trending in the UK (it's an old suede song from 1994) it's from the era when alt rockers were dressing in black and singing songs about being pigs a lot. nin had like 4 songs about pigs around then https://twitter.com/demindblower/status/1249822024589025289
radiohead also sang disparaging about pigs. the whole 'we are pigs' metaphor was big in the 90's and there was probably a cringe theorycel trying to work it into a critique of capitalism. also here, people were being fed to pigs literally. what does this prove? that we are cooler

but idk about suede they are ok but also kinda sounded like the last thing you could do with glam rock before it got too dated to do anything more with somehow
but actshoeally, the whole 'we are pigs' thing would not be perfected until 2003, when for no clear reason they made the darkest episode of this cartoon ever and it was censored from many broadcast cuts. this is the peak of whole 'we are capitalist pigs' thing.
i know because i grew up near a pig rendering plant and the waft of their processed flesh and the industrial chemicals they made from it would delight me when i opened my windows sometimes
this thread didn't go anywhere good tbh because i am a kickin' squelin' gucci lil piggie & i loves it
