FIRST AIDS 101 you need to know during this movement control order.

A Thread.
1. HANDS-ONLY CPR and how knowing to do it could a safe life..

Q: When do we need to do CPR?

When a person is found unconcious, not breathing or has agonal breathing and pulseless.

Or simply put he/she has a cardiac arrest.
Sudden cardiac arrest is much worse than a heart attack.

It is a condition in which the victim's heartbeat stops abruptly and unexpectedly due to an abnormal heart rate or arrhythmia.
A heart attack is a condition in which the blood supply to the heart muscle is suddenly blocked.
Statistics showing Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest. There for this is a basic everyone should know. Especially during this MCO
16.8% survive with 22.5% survival rate - receive CPR
HANDS-ONLY CPR alone without mouth-to-mouth breathing, could triple survival minutes before paramedics arrive.
CPR pushes oxygen-rich blood through the body and supplies our vitals like the brain.
RISK OF NOT PEFORMING CPR

When oxygen supply has stopped for :

A minimum of 4-5 min : BRAIN CELLS START TO DIE

10 Minutes and > : LITTLE HOPE OF SURVIVAL
Why is the mouth to mouth breathing excluded?

1. Avoid transmission of disease unknown to the first responder.

2. For bystanders to use this method it doesnt much add to help.

Compressions helps > giving breath.

At out of hospital cases of cardiac arrest.
Will CPR cause trauma or further injury to the unconcious person?

Yes. There is a possibility of rib fracture.

However a fracture can heal but the brain cells which dont receive oxygen dies forever.
Any attempt at CPR is BETTER than no attempt at all.

So im gonna share a simple video and please share to everyone you know needs this. Everyone should learn this basic first aid.

It is encouraged for you to go to courses. But even if you dont. This will still save a life..
