Here is one psychiatrist’s view of coping with COVID-19. It’s some thoughts I’ve had recently while working with stressed out patients and also from what I’ve been seen as my colleagues and I try to keep it together in our jobs at a busy health/tech company. 1/
2/Anxiety is our body’s natural way to let us know that it is time to pay attention. In most situations, we reassess the concern as manageable, or the event occurs and then has passed. But here we are in the middle of an actual pandemic.
3/Some worries here will come true; some of us will have loved ones who get ill, many people we know are already financially impacted, and we are being asked to make major life adjustments for an unknown amount of time.
