A [Thread] to (hopefully) demystify #COVID19 #dashboards of the type that @NHSEngland has (hopefully) commissioned @PalantirTech to provide. There will be others they can't publish for legitimate reasons, but this sort of #transparency helps inspire both #confidence & #caution /1
First, here's live map of hospital and ICU capacity in Germany:

And here's one from the US, that tracks available hospital beds, ICU beds, airborne isolation beds and ventilators by county:

Another dashboard, covering the whole of the US that allows you to drill down to county level, made by HospIQ:

/4
And even the simpler State-level #dashboards, like this one in Virginia, show ventilator and bed availability:

Which is interesting to compare with the dashboard from @PublicHealthW that uses the same software as Virginia, but focuses exclusively on #cases and #tests:

We know @MattHancock has his " #TechVision" & @NHSX is supposed to deliver it. But if @NHSEngland has commissioned a bunch of companies to build it some #COVID19 #dashboards, where & what are they?

They are spending OUR money & using OUR data: the public has a #RightToKnow.
