Our drivers & organizers have been incredibly busy since COVID-19 changed everything.
This is a moment when workers lives are on the line. It's a time where we must do all we can to fight for the dignity and respect of workers.
Here's some of the stuff we've been doing...

Alongside @wedriveprogress & @jwjsf we worked with elected officials at the San Francisco Board of Supervisors ( @MattHaneySF & @D4GordonMar) to adopt a resolution calling on the City Attorney to enforce AB5.

We worked in coalition with partner organizations in Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose to demand paid sick leave for workers and to urge lawmakers to ensure that gig workers are included in any/all relief for workers during the pandemic.
We worked with Partnership on Working Families and the attorney Shannon-Lis-Riordan to get sworn testimony from workers for a paid sick lawsuit.
This resulted in a Federal Judge saying that gig workers are clearly employees. https://www.sfchronicle.com/business/article/Judge-California-Lyft-drivers-should-be-employees-15185614.php

We continue to hold weekly trainings and/or meetings for workers and continue to hold the container for workers to connect, build relationships, share ideas and make plans for action. We have seen significant growth in our network as a result of our organizing.
We've got many more pressure points coming up.
Grateful to the drivers & organizers who've been working so hard to fight for worker rights amidst the emergency. The only way we'll win is we continue to build power & push collectively.
Please help us to keep spreading the word.
