Fauci "had a really, really productive meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus" this morning. "I made it very clear to them that we have to get the resources to where the vulnerable are". One week ago, Fauci: "it's very sad, there's nothing we can do about it now".
Fauci walking back yesterday's interview. "Hypothetical questions can sometimes get you into some difficulty". Price for staying on the team appears to be walking back what he said yesterday, publicly, in front of Trump.
Simply stunning to see a career public servant forced to fall on his sword like this by a President of the United States.

Fauci: "Everything I do is voluntary. Please. Don't even imply that".
Trump now running through a timeline to insist he acted early, and vigorously against coronavirus (even though he didn't).
At least we now understand why he doesn't #FireFauci. He now owns him. Lock, stock and barrel.
Trump: "On January 31st, not one person has died....and I issued a travel restriction from China....so nobody died, and I issued. You cannot get earlier than that....I said China, you can't come in, sorry". (This is not true. His ban was not a blanket ban).
Trump: "I got brutalized over it by the press, because I was way too early. I shouldn't have done it. Brutailzed".
