I have fallen for a "clickbaity" headline and prematurely came to a wrong conclusion about the article before reading it.
When I come across a "clickbaity" headline on an article that piques my interest, I read the article first before coming to a conclusion.
When I see a news article I'm interested in and it is referencing another news source, I check that referenced new source's content first before coming to a conclusion about what I just read.
It is on the online consumer to make sure their conclusions about something they read is founded before they reach those conclusions.
It is the responsibility of the news sites to not use clickbaity titles and make sure the headline accurately captures the spirit and content of the article.
It's the responsibility of news sites to share the link to referenced material in the article so the reader can more easily access it.
I could improve in my critical thinking as it pertains to the way I consume online news articles.
With regards to the prompts given earlier in this thread, I will make more of an effort to exercise better critical thinking in my consumption of online news articles.
