words are clearly losing their meaning and i don't feel compelled to fight against that, in some ways i even support it and the wave is too strong. i think we need to find a different way to organize that attempts to move beyond that, reality is there no matter how we name it
if words are losing their meaning, is that a bad thing? is it bad that we're being called to use our brain harder and move beyond communication issues that are too focused on semantics? what if instead of fighting it, we listened to what it's asking of us? we're smarter than this
i am tired of repeating truths over and over when they will still be true even if i don't. "truth need not an advocate, just allies willing to listen to what it has to say". it is now daring us to be silent, surrender. if words want to die, let them. truth has never needed them.
i guess what i want to say with this is that sacrificing human lives and happiness over words isn't worth it. especially when our words have been used against us one too many times. it is time to let them go as we know them. surrender, move beyond. they are all tainted with hate.
until we learn to be more loving, to experience wording as neutral, there is no use in defending them. their meanings go beyond practical use, they are unclean. it is our job now to polish them with love until they become neutral again. if we are silent, we will learn a new voice
if what i'm writing here means anything to you:
i suggest reading this poem by rumi. he experienced something similar to what you and i are experiencing, many years ago:
