1/ I think one of the most underrated skills to have in today’s day and age is the ability to filter information.

We all have immense amounts of information at our fingertips. We have access to vast stores of knowledge that would’ve been unfathomable even 20 years ago.
2/ This isn’t inherently a good thing, though.

Misinformation and bad opinions abound. Our ability to identify these ideas before absorbing and implementing them into our practices is crucial.

This applies to trading as well.
3/ Something I tried to focus on in 2016/17 was really thinking for myself.

Throw out the opinions of others, even those you trust, and try to look at an idea with zero preconceived notions.

I think this helped immensely with trading and it’s something I got away from as
4/ Twitter began to constitute a large % of my information flow in a given day.

Disconnect. Isolate your mind. Think for yourself.

Things become much simpler and clearer once you do. It’s not “I think X but so and so said Y so am I right?”
