I wish I could review the uzumaki movie but I wasn’t paying close enough attention to get everything :(

But still it’s a fine enough horror movie but a horrible adaptation

(By review I mean a full video about it)

More thoughts:

-why did they shove all the chapters together? I mean I know the manga is loooong and couldn’t be condensed into a movie but at least try and space it out a little bit

-ending on chapter two? Really? Well the climax is1/2

-is chapter two but why didn’t the movie start off with chapter one, then two, then progressively escalate to that one chapter with the houses (don’t remember the actual chapter sorry)

-the body of the father is never shown (I think???) which kinda sucks

-Chapter 3, one of the most visually recognizable chapters, is nowhere in the movie.

-there is a nod to chapter 4 (I think it’s 4) but it’s only one person instead of two.

-what the fuck was that ending?? Was it a dream or did he actually die? Which wasn’t present in the manga

-the only truly horrifying thing in the movie was the snail thing, aside from chapter two of course but I’ll get into that later, it’s actually disgusting to watch on screen so well done on that front. Actually reminds me of glyceride now that I think about it

-I don’t think that the ending of chapter two is shown, of course (SPOILERS) the scissors thing was shown but the horrifying realization that she is now stuck in vertigo and is suffering to the thing she truly fears is not present to my knowledge. Biiiig missed opportunity

This thread could go on for ages so I’ll stop for now. I might revisit the movie to actually to form my thoughts on it better enough to make a video on it but I hope anyone enjoys my ramblings. Also veeeery excited for the Adult Swim adaptation, been anticipating it since January
