As Jeremy Corbyn& #39;s Deputy Director of Strategy & Communication, I was on the GE2017 strategy group.
Until #LabourLeaks I& #39;d never heard of the Ergon House Project.
@Keir_Starmer investigate:
Where did the money come from?
Who authorised it?
Was the spending properly declared?

When GE2017 was called, funding was given to defensive seats. But the & #39;campaign to win& #39; strategy was also agreed despite opposition from McNicol & co. As more money came in from unions/online, we put pressure on to spend it offensively (see 11.5.17 emails). https://twitter.com/FromSteveHowell/status/1249688143504310272">https://twitter.com/FromSteve...
While it& #39;s likely union/members& #39; money was largely properly spent, because LOTO signed off its use, #LabourLeaks suggests £ thousands were secretly siphoned off to the Ergon House Project to support favoured candidates. Members should now insist on a full GE2017 campaign audit.
