Seriously, Ustinov's "Dead Man's Folly" is abysmal and weird. The amazing wretchedness was directed by Clive Donner who did "What's New, Pussycat?" and also co-adapted The Machine Stops for Out of the Unkown.
The drop in quality after Evil Under The Sun is horrible. Suddenly, it's the 80s, the cinematography and costumes are pure Damart Catalogue, and Ustinov's wigs change with the weather.
Also, as well as wasting Ustinov, it squanders Tim Piggot-Smith, Kenneth Cranham, Jonathan Cecil and Caroline Langrishe.
