Let's start with the beginning, April 13 2019 when Taylor officially launched the 13 day countdown that leaded to April 26. She also changed her pfp on all social platforms, making everyone curious of what's to come.
Then the 13 day countdown leaded us to the release of lead single, ME!, collaboration between Brendon Urie and Taylor. ME! gained 7.94M global streams and 3.6M US streams on Spotify in its first day, beating LWYMMD which opened with 7.9M global streams.
The song debuted at #100 on BB100 but it jumped +98 spots (#2 on BB100), becoming the biggest single-week jump in Hot 100's history *chef's kiss*. Along with the song, music video came out, it broke the 24-hour Vevo record, amassing 65.2 million views. The mv has 312M views now.
Let's move forward to June 14, 2019. Taylor released the lyric video of her 2nd single, YNTCD. 3 days later the official music video came out. Even though the views had been frozen for a few hours, it still managed to debut with over 20 million views. The mv has 194M views now.
YNTCD debuted at #2 BB100, making it her 6th song to do. It spent 12 consecutive weeks in the top 20 of the BB100, making it her song with the longest duration spent in top 20 since IDWLF. YNTCD gained 2.5M on US spotify in its first day.
Let's move to July 23, 2019. Taylor released a promo single, The Archer. It came out along with lyric video, it has 19.5 million views now. The song debuted at #69 on BB100, becoming her 80th song to enter the chart. It gained almost 1M streams on US spotify in its first day.
Then, finally on August 23, 2019, Swift released her 7th studio album, Lover, along with the music video of Lover (the song). The song peaked at #10 on BB100, becoming her 25th top 10 on the chart. It gained 2.6M streams on US spotify in its first day.
The music video was directed by Drew Kirsch and Swift herself, it debuted with 9.9 million views. The video's concept was inspired by the lyric "You two are dancing in a snow globe round and round", from the song You Are In Love. The mv has 117M views now.
The album sold in 1M equivalent units in its first week in China, it debuted at no.1 on BB200 album chart with 867,000 equivalent units in the US. It logged the biggest single week for any album, since her last album, reputation. Lover also sold 679,000 copies in its first week.
Globally, Lover album was the best selling album of 2019. It's certified 2x Platinum in the US, as for Jan 2020, it's sold in 3.2M units WW. The album was met with mainly positive reviews, it has scored 79 on Metacritic. It spent 17 weeks inside the top 10 of the BB200.
Okay so now let's move to January 27, 2020, the day The Man was serviced to US adult contemporary and pop radio formats. Then on Feb 7 a lyric video came out, teasing the official music video. Later, on Feb 18 Swift's released an acoustic version of the song (Live from Paris)
Then, on Feb 27, 2020 the official mv was released, it was directed by Swift herself, marking her solo directorial debut. It debuted with 10.8M views and has almost 36M views now. The song peaked at #23 on BB100 and gained 2.4M streams on US spotify in its first day.
She's also released 3 other songs, Christmas Tree Farm, Beautiful Ghosts and Only The Young which is featured in Miss Americana, her documentary on Netflix. The second song was nominated for Golden Globe award.
