The sooner that people understand that this virus is just one more in a long line of risks that we accept and do all we can to mitigate the better.
We drive cars and wear seatbelts. We cross streets and look both ways. We walk down stairs and hang onto railings.
That doesn’t mean people don’t hurt themselves or even die every day doing these things; they do. But they see these activities as necessary risks for living life.
We should wash our hands and stay home when we are sick, but otherwise live our lives because what we are doing right now isn’t living.
