Thanks to everyone for the heartwarming response to my @alyankovic profile. Here is a bonus thread of Weird Al content.
Non-weirdos have been asking me what Weird Al they should listen to. There are infinite possible answers, but I'll give a handful of my faves

1) this all-palindromes parody of Bob Dylan ("May a moody baby doom a yam?" etc) is a brilliant writing exercise
2) Weird Al's polka medleys (roughly one every album) are perfect little works of art: superhits compressed & rearranged for accordion / tuba / clarinet, w tight multi-part harmonies and beer hall guys shouting "hey!" over lyrics about sex & partying:
3) On that note, "The Hamilton Polka," which is a masterpiece and at least 10 times better than it needed to be and made @Lin_Manuel cry when he 1st heard it:
4) "The Saga Begins," which retells the whole plot of a "Star Wars" prequel to the tune of "American Pie":
5) The ridiculously elaborate Beach Boys parody "Pancreas"

( one of my very favorite W.A.Y. moments is ~2 min in: "My pancreas attracts every other pancreas in the universe..." )

6) The ridiculous "Rambo" scene from "UHF":
I could do 100 more so I'll stop there for now.
