A reason Rosa Luxemburg was historically dismissed and is still dismissed today is the fact that she was a woman. Obviously misogyny 100 years ago was still common, not defending it, but even today ML circles have a huge problem with misogyny. I will share some expetiences I had.
Note to the further thread, these are all internet encounters, but these people also are real living human beings, so I& #39;ll just include them as well.
Maybe the most depressing/shocking experience I had was on a crossroads discord server. It was a fun server, but obviously "ML"s made up the majority of the population. Both admins also were MLs who seriously lacked decisiveness and, while not necessarily reactionary, accepted it
That fostered a server culture which was rather toxic. Discussions and controversies about transphobia, racism, etc. were plenty. I was part of the "police force" of the server which was meant to keep things in check, but had no real power...
The admins were the only ones with real power. A bit more to them, which is going to be important. He is a British ML who was generally chill but very submissive to his girlfriend. She is a middle eastern immigrant living in Finland, the person who called the shots.
And there was a third person a "mod", the chef of the "police force", also no real power, he was meant to supervise us. A "Russian" (more to that later) ML. The fact alone that he wad Russian earned him a lot of respect in the community.

That Russian guy had a tendency to "get drunk" and become very horny. He would send "his" dick pics into the NSFW channel, which was bad because the server had a policy which allowed anyone who wanted to look into the NSFW to access it, even minors. The Russian guy was....
in his late 20s to early 30s and married. Obviously more than "problematic" but the admins tolerated it, which lead to a very peculiar situation. The Russian guy was texting with a female underage member, they were friends so no one said anything. But over a few days...
He became more intrusive, and frankly speaking, more horny, till he sent her "his" dick pics directly in DMs, what she was disgusted by, and what she shared with him. But he couldn& #39;t take it. He asked for her nudes. An adult asked for a minor& #39;s nudes.
When she texted him about it the next day, he tried to dismiss it by saying that his "wife" (I forgot to mention he was "married") was texting her the entire time, and sometimes that he was just too drunk and later on that she was horny texting him, and that she wanted his pics.
After that she did the reasonable thing; she outed him publically on the server, hoping the admins would support her and ban the pedophile. But instead the admin, especially she, and many members, all of which were MLs, resorted to blame her, just as the Russian guy was.
She was "acting slutty" and "provoked it". The few who were disgusted by that behavior banded together and called that ugly behavior out, in the hope that there were enough sane people that we could pressure the admins into punishing the pedo, which didn& #39;t work out...
We organized and formed multiple splinter groups to support eachother for what was about to come. For the next few months we got periodically harassed by members of that server. To my knowledge this has ended. But the 2 admins have made the Russian guy an admin..
And the server is still running and popular from what I& #39;ve heard. I recommend everyone, stay away from the server and group called "ICA". They are not allies. MLs are not our allies. This is just one story of many. Anyone who identifies with these people cannot be trusted.
