Monday, April 13. Here’s the latest on covid-19 cases in Maine. Today marked the largest single-day spike in confirmed cases. Again, CDC believes this is just a snapshot of the situation since there are a lot of people who have been clinically diagnosed but not tested.
The big jump in cases could be tied to an outbreak at the Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation, which reported 55 cases yesterday — 41 patients, 14 staff members. There’s also a big jump in cases in Kennebec County where the facility is located.
We’ll find out at 2 pm
Looks like today’s briefing time will be the new one for the time being. The times have shifted quite a bit since Maine’s first confirmed case. You can watch this thread for updates or watch the briefing live at http://Mainepublic.org
