here’s a thread of lgbt films with poc representation🖤
disclaimer: i’m using the poc definition of anyone who isn’t white or european. while some of these movies have characters that are light-skinned, they have other characteristics that set them apart from white people like their culture, language or physical attributes.
i’m also using the term to refer to communities that are known to have been marginalized, opressed or are considered minorties, resulting in their lack of representation in the film industry hence why i’m making this thread
1. moonlight (2016) dir. barry jenkins

the coming of age story of a young man told across three stages of his life as he struggles to find himself while grappling with his sexuality.
2. the way he looks (2014) dir. daniel ribeiro

leonardo is a blind teenager trying to live a more independent life when his new found feelings for the new kid in town, gabriel, makes him question his plans.
