Sadly, we lost track of a very important priority in ecommerce.

Website Speed.

At it's worst. Our website pages were averaging 8.10 seconds to load.

But we re-focused. (cont.)
First thing we did was to kill all the 3rd party plugins that we weren't using.

It's amazing how these things mysteriously add up, and then you forget to uninstall/delete them.

This got our page load times to around 5 seconds
But 5 seconds is still pretty darn slow, so we rebuilt our website and cut more 3rd party tools that we were using.

Things like:

- Disqus for blog comments
- Live Chat (replaced with SMS support)

Basically, we started from scratch.

This got us to 3.25 seconds.
Now comes the fun part.

We continue to find things that are non-essential or aren't worth the lag to page times, and continue to roll out speed optimizations.

We just did lazy loading for our blog articles, and check out what's happening with our search traffic.
And the sales are backing it up too. We have the potential for this month to be our best month in online sales history.

> Better than any holiday season

I do think there are other factors, like the quarantine, that are making an impact; but a faster website ain't hurting us.
